Fire Island – photos taken using iPhone 3GS

Today I drove to Sayville, with a perfectionally functioning Sat Nav (see previous posts regarding non-functioning Sat Nav) and then got the ferry over to Sailors Haven. It was a beautifully sunny day and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect so I wasn’t really that well prepared. I did have the essentials: hat, sunblock and sunglasses but I lacked swimming attire.

I chose Sailors Haven because it is home to Sunken Forest which sounded quite interesting and it turned out to be very pretty and unique. I walked through the forest and down to the beach. At this point I rolled up my trousers and walked on the edge of the waves – it was beautiful. I strolled along the beach for a while and then eventually back to the ferry port and back to Long Island.

I only had my iPhone 3GS to take pictures and it didn’t disappoint. It showed again that it’s miles ahead of the previous iPhone cameras. A selection of pictures are below.

All my iPhone 3GS pictures can be seen on my Flickr page.
